Vitality: Move, Breathe, and Feel Alive

What does vitality mean? It’s more than just energy—it’s about feeling strong, present, and balanced in mind, body, and emotions.
Here, a reflection on a recent yoga session where we all left with our eyes wide open—literally and figuratively. Through movement, breath, and awareness, we tapped into a deep sense of aliveness that’s always within us.

Last Friday, something pretty amazing happened at the end of our yoga session on vitality. We all sat there with our eyes wide open—literally and figuratively. It wasn’t just about feeling awake; it was this deep, buzzing aliveness, a sense of clarity, energy, and connection. It reminded me why I love this practice so much.

Vitality isn’t just about being physically strong. It’s a mix of:

Mental clarity – Feeling present, focused, and aware.

Emotional balance – A sense of ease and inner steadiness.

Physical strength – Moving with power and flow, without forcing.

In this session, we played with all three. We started slow-seated movements to warm up, then moved to all fours, and finally to standing postures to awaken our energy. We flowed through warriors, deep stretches, and an energizing sequence of sun salutations. The intensity built up, but always with the invitation to listen to our bodies, to find strength without strain.

We ended with breath work, holding an imaginary ball of energy between our hands, feeling it expand and move through us. And then, in stillness, we meditated on the movement of life itself—the constant pulse of energy within and around us.

And wow, what a shift. By the time we finished, it was as if we were all seeing the world just a little differently—brighter, sharper, more alive.

This is why we practice. Not to "achieve" a pose, but to wake up to ourselves and life.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to experience it firsthand. Come move, breathe, and feel alive with us next time. You don’t need to have experience—just curiosity.

Curious to experience it for yourself? Join me on the mat and discover what it feels like to truly wake up to your energy.
